Since the birth of underfloor heating, there have been several types of pipes used as underfloor heating pipes.

Since the birth of underfloor heating, there have been several types of pipes used as underfloor heating pipes. XPAPR: Cross linked aluminum tube, PE-X: Cross linked polyethylene 1, PAP: Aluminum plastic composite pipe 2 PP-B: Impact resistant copolymer polypropylene (formerly known as PP-C in Korea) PP-R: Random copolymer polypropylene PB: Polybutene (ultra high temperature resistant pipe) PE-RT: High temperature resistant polyethylene.

PE-RT floor heating raw material is a medium density polyethylene with very stable mechanical properties, which has superior toughness, stress cracking resistance, low-temperature impact resistance, outstanding long-term water pressure resistance, and heat creep resistance of octene.

PE-RT inherits the excellent creep resistance and low-temperature brittle fracture resistance of polyethylene, while abandoning the disadvantage of ordinary polyethylene that cannot withstand high temperatures. It is another breakthrough in the application of polyethylene materials in the field of hot and cold water. PE-RT is divided into PE-RT I and PE-RT II according to their performance and application fields

In terms of physical properties, the hardness of the pipe material is high, just like the PE100 grade small-diameter 20 pipe and PE80 grade 20 pipe on the market. If the two are tested, PE-RT II can intuitively demonstrate much higher hardness and strength than PE-RT pipe in terms of curvature. PERT II pipe and PPR hot water pipe have similar hardness under the same temperature conditions. From the perspective of installation and aesthetic observation, PERT II pipe is used for hot water pipeline systems that are horizontal and vertical, just like PPR hot water pipes. On the other hand, when the temperature reaches 70 ° C in a lifted PERT pipeline system, the creep is very large, and the appearance appears curved and unsightly, even suspecting its heat resistance. PERT II pipe solves this problem very well.

In terms of chemical properties, pert II pipes are much superior to pert pipes. pert II pipes are suitable for low-temperature pipeline systems below 70 ° C, while pert II pipes are suitable for high-temperature pipeline systems between 70 ° C and 95 ° C. pert II pipes have temperature and pressure resistance and are suitable for high-temperature hot water pipeline systems, with normal operating temperatures between 20-95 ° C. pert II pipes have been widely used abroad and are also widely promoted in the domestic market. They are applied in hot water pipeline systems, air conditioning inlet and outlet insulation pipeline systems, thermal pipeline systems, and other fields.

With the deepening of the national strategic "13th Five Year Plan" for "new energy and new materials", the pe rt II prefabricated buried insulation pipe, as a new material, will be widely used in high-altitude areas such as "North China", "Northeast China", and "Northwest China". Since then, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Urban and Rural Housing have issued the CJ/T480-2015 "pe rt II Prefabricated Buried Insulation Pipe" standard in November 2015

The difference between PERT pipe type 1 and type 2 is that type 1 pipe belongs to medium density polyethylene and is suitable for low-temperature heating, such as underfloor heating. Type 2 pipes belong to high-density polyethylene, with higher compressive strength and stronger high-temperature resistance. They are not only used for underfloor heating, but also suitable for connecting radiators.
